I loved the story, the characters, and your musical prose, the exact elements that hook me as a reader.<br /><br />I'm so glad you took time off to rediscover your voice. It's so easy to lose it when immersing yourself in conferences, how-to books, & critiques. Like you, I've taken a year away from conferences to learn to hear my voice again, and to enjoy writing again.<br /><br />Your journey will resonate with many writers, Meg. As a literature major, I too was a wee-bit naive. I thought I understand how to tell a story.
